What's new in JuicyType 0.9.5.3
JuicyType 0.9.5.3 is mostly about the panel: Settings now opens in the panel body, there's a first-launch welcome and a redrawn tour, and the applied strip reads more clearly. The stroke face control also moves to where it belongs, and a couple of display glitches are gone.
Strokes
- The control that put the fill on top is now called Face in front and sits at the top of the Strokes section, under the Stroke effect popup.
- Face in front only appears when it can actually change the order — Strokes on, Stroke effect not set to Raise, and Fill Raise off.
Panel
- Settings now opens in the panel body, and the ⋯ menu holds actions rather than switches.
- A first-launch welcome shows you where to find JuicyType, with Don't show this again already ticked.
- The welcome tour uses wider magenta-outlined bubbles with the arrow beside the words, sitting clear of the controls and without a close button.
- In the applied strip, switched-off effects now sit at the end and read a little brighter.
- With nothing selected, the strip tells you to use the Arrow tool.
- In Share feedback, unticking Include a screenshot hides the preview straight away.
- Add flavor and Flavor library have new icons.
- The Speedview eye in the panel header is a little smaller, so it sits evenly with the icons beside it.
- Automatic Speedview when a render is slow is now a toggle in the ⋯ menu, on by default.
- Window > JuicyType opens the panel directly instead of showing a submenu.
- In About, the version line now sits clear of the wordmark.
License
- The activation screen now sends you to the website to start a trial rather than starting one in the panel.
- The license line shows which version you're running.
- The beta strip has been restyled, and a lifetime beta license now reads Beta · lifetime instead of just the word on its own.
Fixes
- Adding an effect briefly cut off the grid in the effects drawer before it settled.
- The effects drawer showed an out-of-date sentence that no longer applied, and the empty-state wording has been cleaned up.
